Tuesdays @ 6pm

A slow and meditative practice designed to release tension, calm the nervous system, and restore balance to body and mind. Postures are held gently for several minutes with the support of props, encouraging the muscles to relax while the deeper connective tissues are nourished. This stillness invites mindful breathing, improved circulation, and a profound sense of rest, leaving you grounded, open, and renewed. Perfect for all levels – an ideal complement to your regular hot yoga or vinyasa practice. This class is unheated.

New Time: FOUNDATIONS OF ASHTANGA YOGA
Sundays @ 7 am

Ashtanga yoga is a deep style of hatha yoga that focuses on breath control and flowing movements between poses. It’s based on the eight limbs of yoga, which are a sequence of practices that help develop mental clarity and inner peace.

The practice requires practitioners to move from one pose to the next in a specific order with modifications given for all levels. We start with sun salutation move to standing into balancing and then to seated sequence.

Posture sequences: Ashtanga yoga is made up of six series, each with a set order of poses. Students usually start with the Primary Series, which includes Sun Salutation A and B, standing poses, and seated poses.

Breath control: Ashtanga yoga uses a specific breathing technique called Ujjayi Pranayama.

Vinyasa: Ashtanga yoga is characterized by Vinyasa, which is the flowing movements between poses that are synchronized with the breath.

Bandhas: Ashtanga yoga uses Bandhas, which are internal energy locks.

Drishti: Ashtanga yoga uses Drishti, which is a focused gaze,

Eight limbs of yoga: The eight limbs of yoga are Yama (moral codes), Niyama (self-discipline), Asana (posture), Pranayama (breath control), Pratyahara (sense withdrawal), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation), and Samadhi (oneness with the self).
